Library Tutorials and Internet Instruction on the Web

NetLinkS is a Training and Awareness project supported by the Joint Information Systems Committee of the Higher Education Funding Council of England, as part of its Electronic Libraries programme. This site is a good starting point for viewing examples of tutorials:

Click on "Current Practice Case Base" for links to over twenty examples of information skills training on the web. The links are to a variety of sites, primarily at university libraries.

User Research

The User Access to Services Committee of the Machine Assisted Reference Section (MARS) of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) of the American Library Association maintains a web site on Current User Research. This site provides an annotated bibliography of research exploring the information-seeking behavior of users including, but not limited to, Internet and Web behavior. An online form for researchers to record work in progress is also included.
